Thank you to our friends from Enterprise who sent 80 employees from various cities including San Diego, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles over the course of two weeks to meet and serve at our Village of Hope campus! Enterprise is an excellent example of a corporation that makes caring  for their community a priority. I am always encouraged to see a large company step up to care for those in need and use their resources to better their communities.
These hard-working volunteers assisted in our kitchen prepping for meals and making sandwiches for the armory locations, where the Rescue Mission provides the food for those seeking shelter there. They also helped pack pallets of food boxes in our warehouse and sorted clothing donations in our clothing rooms.
Although it is the first time Enterprise has partnered with us, both the Rescue Mission and Enterprise look forward to future occasions we can work together again. Enterprise has created a unique partnership with us in that they held a staff meeting here on our campus prior to their volunteer work.  When choosing a place to hold their meetings, Enterprise ultimately chose the Rescue Mission as the site to hold their large meetings so that they could then give back to the Rescue Mission afterwards through their volunteer work.
The Rescue Mission hosts many corporate groups as a meeting site, for volunteer work, or, as in the case of Enterprise, for both! If your company is interested in utilizing any of the Rescue Mission’s various meeting sites, please contact Kayleigh Roenicke at kayleigh.roenicke@rescuemission.org.
