I congratulate and thank Dr. Melany Meier for her chiropractic guidance and service. With her heart for homeless people and passion for this field, she brought consistent and much-needed chiropractic services to the Rescue Mission students and the Orange County community. After over 40 years of providing chiropractic care, Dr. Meier has recently retired to pursue other endeavors and passions.
Dr. Meier worked closely with our onsite health clinic, Hurtt Family Health Clinic, to bring high-quality chiropractic care to those who do not have access to it. She also partnered with UC Irvine and the Southern California University of Health Services to pioneer a program to help prospective chiropractic students receive hands-on experience. Her innovative program bridged the gap between the need for students to get the hours for their Doctor of Chiropractic degree and those in need of health care.
Although I am very grateful for Dr. Meier’s service to Orange County Rescue Mission and our community, I am also thankful for our friendship over the years. Her heart for the community is unparalleled, and she is a role model for using her skills and knowledge to serve others.
